The Old Lady

The old Lady, she told me, “It is all going to be alright!”

So, worry worms along inside the walls of gray matter.

And, who cares, one way or another?

The old Lady showed me the way, as I wondered to myself.

“Is it this way, or that way, old Lady, is it within, is it outside, is it everywhere, is it in all things, answer me, old lady, where are you?”

Need not know, so, I sang the song, as the bird flew away, chirping out loud, collecting food that was floating about.

As, I pondered, “Rock, can you continue the story, is it yours to tell, even if your just a foster child you has been favored? Can you explain the mysteries?”

Into the wind it goes, thru the windmill of my mind, to away.

Why, can I have it back, will it ever be known to me?”

It showed me which way the wind was blowing, The old Lady in the water soothes me, consoles me, comforts me, in the soaring and flowing water.

Help me, I’m so lost here, know so little, can do very little, water don’t forsake me! Your are my mentor, my relative, my friend, my lover, as I place these thoughts into the river, the place of my birth, it goes away to where I used to live, yes, I know, we know so little, but, why, so little?

The old Lady join me in this last dance, this dance of water, it is you, it is me, the rapids of time shouted, “Water is Life, yes, Water is Life!”
